Automotive Lift Safety White Paper

Automotive Lift Safety White Paper

Automotive lifts are reliable but safe ongoing operations requires regular inspections to ensure the lifts receive maintenance and repairs. In addition, each employee that uses a lift must receive training including: safe usage, meaning of the warning decals, importance of lifting points, manufacturers instruction and conduct a pre-use inspection. Periodic retraining is expected as well. All training and inspections must be documented.
Conduct inspections before use to verify the lift is safe to operate and is not damaged. Monthly and annual inspections must be conducted to assess the condition of the equipment.
